PMG Member, Bandvulc won the Carbon Reduction category at the recent DEBI 2009 Environmental Awards. Held on 26 November, the awards ceremony took place at the Met Office, Exeter and were presented by Paul Gompertz of Devon Wildlife. Previously overall DEBI Awards winner in 2006, Bandvulc has built on its early success and has put carbon reduction at the forefront of its strategy.
This has been achieved with an enthusiasm and determination that is apparent throughout all areas of the business. The 2009 Carbon Reduction award recognises Bandvulc’s: good environmental practices; encouraging wider interest in the adoption of best environmental practice; promoting the development of novel solutions to environmental problems. |

Vi-Spring's marketing manager, Peter Tasker, said the company's foray into the 'difficult-to-penetrate' US market, was an initial foothold, as the firm sought to offset the effects of a declining UK furniture market.

The Year in Industry, based at the Tamar Science Park, is a national not-for-profit organisation that places students with local companies to encourage young people to fulfil their potential in careers in Science, Engineering and Technology. |
